About Me
Always curious and building
Hi! I'm Winston. Originally from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, I studied graphic design at Southeastern Louisiana University where my love for design & typography blossomed. I studied under amazing folks who were genuinely passionate about making things—and that experience has fueled me for over 15 years.
After graduating and working for a year in Baton Rouge, I had the amazing opportunity to move out west and study type design through the Cooper Union's Type@Cooper West program (now known as Type West @ the Letterform Archive).
That opportunity & move across the country taught me a lot about myself—I scraped together as much money as I could, packed up my 2000 Toyota Camry, and shipped myself to San Francisco where I attended the program and worked in a few different industries throughout the city. I was a scrappy little fella from the south living in the big city and making it work.
Now, I live in Portland, Oregon where I've been building and running my design studio with my wife and partner Kim. While I've loved every second of it, I'm ready for a new challenge. Let's work together!
